These announcements speak volumes about the current growth of rugby in the United States.  With the re-inclusion of rugby in the Olympics, it has become one of the fastest growing team sports in the country.  "We are very proud to be hosting the [Junior World Rugby Trophy]," said USA Rugby CEO and President of Rugby Operations, Nigel Melville.  "Hosting a JWRT is the first step to positioning the USA to host larger tournaments with the end goal of one day hosting a Rugby World Cup."

The Junior World Rugby Trophy is scheduled to take place June 18th-30th in Salt Lake City, Ut.   To learn more about this event visit USA Rugby!

Although this story is slightly dated it serves as a great reminder of the power of sport.  Sport can dismantle stereotypes and empower students of all ages. The following story highlights an African American Rugby team that found success despite the odds!
